Raiders - Adelaide City 0:2 (0:1)

Goals: 0:1 Damian Mori (4.); 0:2 Adriano Pellegrino (55.)

Adelaide City cemented its claim to securing a hat-trick of Super League premierships with a convincing 2-0 win over Raiders at the Croatian Sports Centre.

City's run of 36 Super League matches without defeat at the weekend is propelling Damian Mori's side closer to rewriting the history books.

Mori scored the opening goal in the fourth minute before George Tsonis missed a spot kick in the first half. Former Adelaide United midfielder Adriano Pellegrino made it 2-0 and game over in the 55th minute.

MetroStars - Adelaide Galaxy 3:0 (3:0)

Goals: 1:0 Daniel Spagnuolo; 2:0 James Yong; 3:0 Josip Grgic

Campbelltown City - Adelaide Blue Eagles 2:2 (1:1)

Goals: 0:1 Adrian Aufiero; 1:1 Simon Catanzaro; 2:1 Matthew Deegan; 2:2 Michael Pirone

At Newton Village Sports Complex, Blue Eagles have all but ruined Campbelltown City's chances of snatching the premiership from City's grasp after forcing its arch rival to a 2-2 draw.

Blue Eagles midfielder Michael Pirone scored a stunning equalizer 15 minutes from time to break the hearts of the Red Devils, who needed a win to keep pace with City.

Blue Eagles could have walked away with the three points but poor finishing cost the side dearly.

Adrian Aufiero handed Blue Eagles a 1-0 lead after he nodded a Pirone corner home but Campbelltown's Simon Catanzaro soon squared the ledger with a trademark 22m strike a minute later.

Matt Deegan scored the Red Devils second goal in the second half before Pirone took centre stage with his equalising free kick which smashed into the top corner of the net.

Cumberland United - White City Warriors 0:2 (0:1)

Goals: 0:1 Kris Trajanovski; 0:2 Andrej Djakovic

Para Hills Knights - Modbury Jets 4:3 (2:1)

Goals: 1:0 Shane Tobias (5.); 1:1 Aaron Westervelt (28.); 2:1 Joel Allwright (40.); 3:1 Joel Allwright (46.); 4:1 Joel Allwright (56.); 4:2 Aaron Westervelt (88.); 4:3 Sam Farncombe (89.)

JETS' COMEBACK TOO LATE AS KNIGHTS HANG ON TO VICTORY

Last night saw Para Hills Knights and Modbury Jets meet in a crucial derby match at The Paddocks and it was yet another exciting contest with the home team hanging on for a 4 - 3 victory.

This had been a much anticipated contest and the early stages were going to be very important and this proved the case in the 5th minute when a Para Hills cross was not cleared well enough and Shane Tobias managed to get the shot into the net giving the Knights a valuable lead. From here Modbury worked hard and gradually got back into the match with Konrad Kosnik having his shot saved and not too long afterwards a good ball through found the head of new Jet Sam Farncombe who flicked the ball to Kosnik and he tried to lob the ball into the net, but it was cleared off the line. A great run through from Nathan Day caused some problems for the Para defence and as a result the Jets were awarded a free kick just outside the penalty area. This was taken beautifully by Aaron Westerwelt who found the top right corner off the net leveling up the game and lifting Modbury. The Jets continued to make chances and between Farncombe and Kosnik as well as the running from Leigh Ramsden and Scott Weidenbach life was difficult for Para until they were on the attack and a ball crossed in saw a terrible mix up within the Jets defence and the ball spilled to Joel Allwright who reclaimed the lead for the hosts at 40 minutes in. This left the half time score at 2 - 1 to Para Hills.

The second half started in disastrous style for Modbury with a good ball from the Para Hills midfield finding Joel Allwright on the break and he coolly slotted in his second goal at the 46th minute making it really hard for Modbury who dropped their heads and from here it was all the Knights. At the 56th minute a repeat Knights ball through once again found Allwright and he got his hat-trick and the points for Para Hills. Several chances came to Para, but fortunately for the Jets no goals came from it. Finally Modbury supporters had something to cheer when Aaron Westervelt who had worked hard through the night got a shot on target and found the net at the 88th minute. Immediately after kick off the Jets attacked again and caught the Knights napping and a quick turn and strike from Farncombe got him his first Modbury goal and the unthinkable was on the brink of happening with only a goal in it. Modbury fought as hard as they could and had Para sweating, but it wasn't to be. Para Hills held on for a 4 - 3 win and for the Jets it was a heart breaking loss leaving everyone thinking if only....
